I was arrested for a crime i didn’t commit and kept in cells for almost 2 weeks without charge. When I requested to be taken to court so that I know what crime I committed for me to be in cells for that long I was informed I should just pay them something so that my case can be dropped. I refused to do that and another one week was added to me. My phones, wallet and watches valued at K7,000 ($309) were all stolen by the same officers at the station. All the information was in their occurrence book. I was released on police bond pending to go to court but nothing yet. This inspector kept calling me saying I should just pay something to have my case dropped but I refused til I know what crime I committed. It’s been 4 years now still on police bond and the inspector even stopped responding to my calls. I went to a court he mentioned I will be taken but I was informed none of my case or my names are on their records to be heard.
