I applied for electricity meter separation in Jul 2020. In Dec 2020, the quotation was out and I paid the connection fee, K760 ($33). From that time to date, the responsible company has not done the meter separation.

However, an individual at the said institution has been saying that he can expedite the process if I paid him K800 ($35). There is corruption in the institution responsible for electricity connection. There are people who applied 2 years ago and have not been connected. They always give an excuse on lack of cables and meters. But when one pays a bribe, cables/meters are found. They don’t follow first come, first serve.
