Corruption has made fair opportunities a distant memory in Zambia. I applied for a training and I was not picked because I did not pay the K1000 ($44.16) bribe prescribed by a person who works there. My friend paid and he was invited for the training.

Transparency International Zambia (TI-Z) is a local chapter of the global movement – Transparency International. It is dedicated to the fight against corruption and the promotion of good governance. TI-Z is a non-profit making non- governmental organization with a registered office in Lusaka and has been in existence since June 2000.
