During the course of my work as a Civil Servant, I intercepted and arrested individuals for being in possession of items deemed illegal. After a successful operation, my supervisors called me with instructions to release the individual because he was a politically exposed person; it was heard that a Senior Government Official issued instructions. I however proceeded to auction off the illegal items and remitted the funds in a Government account as provided by the Public Finance Act.

Two months down the line, I was transferred to a rural outpost for actions believed to have de-campaigned some politicians. I guess “some animals are more equal than others!”
