I remember waking up in the morning to a news that there were youth empowerment funds in the province. We were provided with the information that for us to acquire those funds we should be in a group of 10 ladies and gents. We formed our group and went to the offices as a group to register but upon registering we were told to pay that’s when we can get the funds. And “I thought to myself what on earth is happening we came for help” and we asked them that why are being told to pay for the funds that were released to help the need by empowering. They still insisted on us paying that’s when we were going to get the funds. We ended up not getting the funds because we didn’t have the money to pay.
