I went to a hospital to get a medical check for the driver’s license. At the cashier, I was asked to pay a fee that was three times bigger than what my friend paid at a different clinic. It felt like the price was completely made up, and I asked to see the official price list. The cashier got angry at me and started shouting that I can go to that other clinic and get it there if I don’t want to pay. I got a receipt but I am more than certain that the fee was inflated and that the cashiers profited from it themselves. Why doesn’t the hospital have an official price list, that would be displayed at the till, and everyone has to just believe the prices quoted by the cashier?
